Adventures in Living, Ep. 1

If life were predictable it would cease to be life, and be without flavor.

I have come to realize that life is full of crazy and bizarre moments. Some good, some bad, and some just plain weird. My life is full of those moments, and these moments have given me a thought. Why not share these moments with the rest of the world? Because there may be something within these moments that someone needs to hear.

I actually had a pretty good moment happen today. For months I have been searching for a full-time job. I have sent in application after application, I’ve been to several interviews within the past month, and yet it seems like no one wants me. Of course this seems normal, right? Everybody has trouble finding a job, so why am I complaining? Well, this is more about what happens if I don’t get a job. My family downsizes. Which means we lose nearly everything except for shelter. With this on my heart, I have been more diligent than ever to capture a job. Like I mentioned earlier, it’s been a whole lot more difficult.

And yet, something awesome happened to me today. I got a new job, but there’s more to it! It’s a full-time position, it’s much closer to home, and the position can teach me a ton of skills I can use in life. The reason this is so crazy, is because of who was behind it all. My family and I have been praying for an opportunity for months. And now that I have an opportunity, I finally get what God has been teaching me: He was using this a lesson for teaching me patience, and I am so grateful for it. It really brings a light to that famous saying, “All good things come to those who wait”.
